Insiders say the camp 37-year-old was warned to stop making moves on both gay and straight men at a council-run gym after a series of complaints.

Insiders say both gay and straight men using the council-run gym became sickened with Shahbaz's moves on them and bombarded bosses with complaints.

But when they confronted him it led to a "screaming match"like the ones which led to him quitting the BB house on Tuesday night - after just five days.

A council source revealed: "People put up with Shahbaz's behaviour because they were scared of being labelled a racist homo-phobe - a phrase he bandied about regularly.

The showdown at the Kelvin Hall gym in Glasgow took place last August after bosses received letters alleging inappropriate comments, fondling and pestering by Shahbaz, who was a customer.

"He would approach guys and ask them for dates. When they told him they were straight or even married, he would keep pestering them until they told him to f*** off.

"Then he would start screaming that they were racist homo-phobes and it was only because he was gay and Asian. "He was always causing some sort of row and some people even stopped attending the gym because of him.

"Then he started making comments and asking him for a date. He was sidling up next to the guy and getting really close until the guy lost the rag and all hell broke loose."

He added: "I am disturbed. Because of all I've been through in my life - homelessness, starvation, sexual abuse, molestation - I just fell apart.

On the show, Shahbaz claimed he had sold his body for sex for £10 and had spent a week in jail for non-payment of fines after being arrested for involvement with rent boys.
