FORMER Pennsylvania governor is working on a book about the 2002 Quecreek mine disaster in Somerset in which nine mine workers were trapped underground for three days as the country held its breath and watched constant TV coverage.

Now president and chief executive officer of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Schweiker says he often works on the book into the wee hours of the morning. He has a working title which he declined to reveal and a literary agent, who's been talking to several publishers, the names of which he also declined to reveal.
